Most of what you read about Siamese cats online was written by someone who has never actually owned one.
This site exists because that’s not good enough. Siamese Cat Breeder is an independent breed resource for Siamese, Oriental, and Balinese cat owners, prospective buyers, and breeders in the UK. Every article is written by a GCCF-registered breeder and cat judge with over twenty years of hands-on experience — not compiled from secondary sources or outsourced to someone who can’t tell a Seal Point from a Chocolate.
Whether you’re dealing with a health scare at midnight, trying to work out if your cat’s behaviour is normal or something to worry about, choosing your first kitten, or figuring out how cat showing actually works — you’ll find practical, honest answers here. The kind you’d get if you rang a breeder friend and asked them straight.

There are no sponsored posts here. No brand partnerships disguising themselves as articles. Just one breeder writing about the thing he knows best, for the people who actually need it.
What you’ll find here
The site covers the things Siamese and Oriental cat owners, buyers, and breeders actually need to know — not the things that look good in a keyword report.
That means honest articles on health conditions I’ve dealt with in my own cats, practical breeding guides written by someone who’s actually done it, owner’s advice that doesn’t talk down to you, straightforward behaviour and training help based on real experience, and breed profiles for every Siamese colour point — written from the perspective of someone who’s judged them, not just Googled them.
There’s also a Siamese cat breeder directory listing GCCF-registered breeders across the UK, and a growing library of cat show guides for anyone thinking about entering their first show.
Who’s behind it
My name is Ross Davies. I breed Siamese and Oriental cats under my GCCF-registered prefix Burnthwaites, from my home in Fareham, Hampshire. I built this site because I wanted there to be one place online where the information actually comes from the person writing it.
I am a Full GCCF Cat Judge, qualified across Sections 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6. Section 6 — Siamese, Balinese, and Oriental — covers every breed you’ll find on this site. The other sections I judge in (including British, Persian, Maine Coons and all the other Semi Longhairs) are covered on my other sites. I became a Siamese judge in 2014 and have been adding sections ever since. I sit on both the Oriental and the Siamese Breed Advisory Committees and have managed shows for various clubs over the years.
I hold CPD certifications in feline behaviour and psychology, and in cat anxiety and stress. If you’ve ever wondered why your Siamese follows you to the bathroom or yells at you for no apparent reason at 4am — I can explain that. (The short answer is: they’re Siamese. That’s what they do.)
I’ve written for Your Cat and Our Cats magazines, guest authored for cat organisation newsletters, and spoken at breed seminars. I also breed British Shorthairs under my EzBritz prefix — though the Siamese would like you to believe they’re the only cats in the house.
Over two decades in the cat fancy I’ve bred many best-in-show cats. But more importantly for you, I’ve made every mistake in the book along the way — and I write about those too. Everything on this site comes from hands-on experience, not from secondary sources.
Paula
I should mention my wife Paula, because she’d never forgive me if I didn’t — and because half of what makes this site (and the cats) look as good as they do is down to her. Paula is a feline artist, social media manager, and the person who somehow keeps our household of Siamese and Orientals presentable for public consumption. She stewards at shows, has served as show manager, and sits on Breed Advisory Committees. She’s also the creative force behind our gift business, Frisky Business Gifts.
If something on this site looks beautiful, it’s probably Paula’s doing. If something makes you laugh, that’s probably me. If something is factually wrong, we blame the cats.
